Last month, we were asked to be involved in a really prestigious event run by the super successful design hunters from Australia's most widely read design blog, The Design Files. It's called Open House, and if you've not come across it yet, we highly recommend you get acquainted with it here www.thedesignfilesopenhouse.com
In a nutshell, the creative masterminds at TDF found two spectacular Australian homes, one in Hawthorn, Melbourne, one in Surry Hills, Sydney, and completely fitted them out with furniture, art and amazing products created by revered local artists and makers. The result was two spaces so beautiful, they made your eyes water. It was impossible not to come away with a serious case of house envy! But the best part was, the houses were open to the public to explore and all of the items in the houses were for sale - arrrrggh!! SUCH an amazing, incredibly executed idea.
Both houses had a Such Great Heights Wonder Tent
proudly on display in the children's rooms. The Umbrella Prints x Such Great Heights Grand Hearts canopies in both Smokey Black and Kimono Red looked so perfect in their settings. We felt so proud and grateful to be a part of this amazing event. Ryan attended the VIP night for the designers before the Hawthorn house opened to the public. It was a great chance to meet and chat with creatives whose work we admire so much. He even met the Dulux dog, 'Violet'! Apparently, Violet's handler told Ryan he had a way with animals. Maybe a career change one day?! All images courtesy of The Design Files (except the last two snapshots)
