Our Story - The Workshop

Such Great Heights was launched in 2012 by us, Ryan and Jo, partners in work and life.

In the time preceding this milestone, we collectively trained in disciplines including filmmaking, photography, advertising, woodwork, fashion design and paediatrics. Then we welcomed two daughters into our lives and subsequently were thrust into the world of children's products. We soon became disenchanted with the uninspiring, mass produced, one dimensional plastic products that were on offer. In a quest to prompt our children to explore their creativity we began making our own toys, from natural materials, with a focus on setting the stage for rich imaginary play. From these humble beginnings, the seeds for Such Great Heights were sown.

In five short years, the brand has garnered an extremely loyal following, with our timber, textiles & mixed media pieces making their way into countless homes and stores around the world. We have relished the opportunity to work collaboratively with emerging and renowned Australian and International artists on our ever evolving collection. All products are proudly designed and ethically manufactured across Australia and the USA to create high end goods with an aesthetic welcomed by children and adults alike.

Since mid 2015 we have been leading a semi-nomadic life, having spent the majority of our time in New York and Adelaide. We have now set up a new home base in one of the most beautiful towns on earth, Byron Bay. We are very excited for all that 2017 has in store and look forward to sharing more with you real soon!
